Thank you, Pia! What a beautiful way to start my day. I agree. I am glad to have found you and Paul is a wonderful person. The essays from Denmark will be published in an upcoming edition of The Dylan Review.
I would love to learn more about your Dylan story. ☺️
Love it! I was hanging on every word of this fascinating conversation between two of my favorite people in Dylan world. I was especially interested in the queer dimensions of "I Contain Multitudes" that you brought out and connected with Whitman, Ginsberg, and Paul Clayton.
That blowjob reference in the revised lyrics to "Crossing the Rubicon" now makes me hear the final line of "Black Rider" differently: "You been on the job too long." Yes, that's a "Duncan and Brady" reference, but Dylan might be winking at other kinds of jobs, too. Just ask the sword swallower from Thin Man! Come to think of it, "Black Rider," which is already the most risque song on RARW, pairs pretty compatibly with Nick Cave's wild remake of "Stagger Lee" on his album Murder Ballads. See how you've got my wheels spinning? It's like we're careening through Denmark all over again. Great conversation, Erin and Paul!
Thank You Erin :) What a great interview and introduction to the manuscript.
When will I be able to buy and read those beautiful stories in one book in Denmark? 🇩🇰
I feel multitudes after hearing and listening.
You just made my day 🙏🏼🎄
Merry X-mas and again thank you for contacting me 🥰👋
I am now 68 years young and started listening to Dylan when I was 13 years old, it changed my life forever.
Grateful and honored that you found me.
Sincerely
Pia!

Paul Haney is truly a wonderful person.
Really enjoyed. Shoutout to Paul, from back in Orlando!

Great conversation! I especially enjoyed the discussion of Dylan's reading habits. Good luck with the manuscript - I'm looking forward to reading it!
